American Council of State Savings Supervisors (ACSSS) Law and Legal Definition
American Council of State Savings Supervisors (ACSSS) is a national organization of state savings institution regulators. The ACSSS was earlier known as the National Association of State Savings & Loan Supervisors (NASS&LS). The ACSSS functions as training, legislative and communication resource. As a training resource, ACSSS provides technical and supervisory training to state financial institution regulatory agencies and examiners nationwide. As a legislative resource, ACSSS provides professional supervisory information and insight in support of the state charter for savings institutions. While acting as a Communications resource, the ACSS provides a monthly update on the direction, progress and action of the Congressional banking committees. ACSSS also provides valuable information about legislative activity in Washington to state financial institution regulators.
