American Institute of Electrical Engineers Law and Legal Definition
American Institute of Electrical Engineers was a U.S. based organization of individuals with degrees in the advanced studies of electrical engineering and licensed through a standardized test which sets a minimum level of understanding for qualification. It merged with the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) to form the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
