American Jail Association [AJA] Law and Legal Definition
The American Jail Association (AJA) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to support those who work in and operate in the U.S.'s jails. The members of the AJA include, sheriffs and jail administrators; and members form security, health care, education, and food services.
The AJA functions include;
a. offering high quality training, education, and networking;
b. serving as an advocate and voice; and
c. monitoring and addressing current and proposed legislation affecting the safety, effectiveness, and bottom line of jail operations, programs, and services.
