American Trucking Association Law and Legal Definition
American Trucking Association (ATA) is a national trade association for the trucking industry. The ATA cooperates with state trucking associations and national trucking conferences to advance the interests of the trucking industry.
The mission of the American Trucking Associations is:
a. to serve and represent the interests of the trucking industry with one united voice;
b. to influence in a positive manner Federal and State governmental actions;
c. to advance the trucking industry’s image, efficiency, competitiveness, and profitability;
d. to provide educational programs and industry research;
e. to promote safety and security on our nation’s highways and among our drivers; and
f. to strive for a healthy business environment.
