Amortisation Schedule Law and Legal Definition
Amortisation schedule means an amortization calculator generated schedule which shows the status of a loan typically a mortgage. It also shows the principal and interest applied to the loan for a time period. Usually, amortisation schedule depictes the status of the loan on a monthly basis. In the context of accounting it the occasional writing down of an intangible asset. It corresponds to the concept of reduction to write down the value of assets. At the beginning of the schedule, the majority of each periodic payment is interest and the majority of each periodic payment toward the principal is given towards the end of the schedule.
