Animo Indorsandi Law and Legal Definition
Animo indorsandi means with the intention of indorsing. Every person who indorses a bill or promissory note is liable for the amount contained in it to the subsequent indorsee and holder. If anyone indorses a cheque animo indorsandi, with an intention to of becoming a proper indorser and obligant, s/he will be liable for the amount of the cheque, in the event of its dishonor.
