Animo Obligandi Law and Legal Definition
Animo obligandi means with the intention of entering into an obligation. Certain words uttered with the intention of entering into an obligation would complete an obligation. However, the same words used merely in jest will not create an obligation. For a perfect obligation there should be a deliberate and voluntary consent and purpose to engage.
