Annualized Medi-Cal Inpatient Paid Days Law and Legal Definition
Annualized medi-cal inpatient paid days means the total number of acute inpatient days of a medi-cal patient in hospital for which payment was made by or on behalf of the State Department of Health Services to a hospital, regardless of dates of service during the most recent calendar year and ending prior to the beginning of a particular payment adjustment year. It also includes all medi-cal acute inpatient covered days of care for hospitals that are paid on a different basis than per diem payments [Cal Wel & Inst Code § 14105.98 (a) (8)].
