Appraised Production [Agriculture] Law and Legal Definition
According to 7 CFR 400.52 [Title 7—Agriculture; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Department of Agriculture; Chapter IV -- Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, Department of Agriculture; Part 400 -- General Administrative Regulations; Subpart G -- Actual Production History], appraised production means “production determined by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS), the FCIC, or a company reinsured by the FCIC, that was unharvested but which reflected the crop's yield potential at the time of the appraisal. For the purpose of APH (Actual Production History), "appraised production" specifically excludes production lost due to uninsurable causes.”
