Appropriate Congressional Committee Law and Legal Definition
6 USCS § 101 defines “appropriate congressional committee” as "any committee of the House of Representatives or the Senate having legislative or oversight jurisdiction under the Rules of the House of Representatives or the Senate, respectively, over the matter concerned."
19 USCS § 1683 defines term "appropriate congressional committees" as “the Committee on Finance of the Senate and the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives.”
