Approval Notice Law and Legal Definition
An approval notice notifies that an applicant's request for a temporary or permanent visa has been examined and approved by the USCIS. The stage during which a visa is issued begins soon after the issuance of this notice. The approval notice is more commonly known as Form 1-797. The notice is a DHS, USCIS immigration form, Notice of Action which indicates that USCIS has approved a petition for extension of stay or change of status.
