Archaionomia Law and Legal Definition
Archaionomia refers to the collection of Saxon laws. This was published during the reign of the English Queen Elizabeth in the Saxon language. This had a Latin version by Mr. Lambard. Later, Dr. Wilkins enlarged this to include all the Saxon laws extant, together with those ascribed to Edward the Confessor, Henry I, Stephen, and Henry II, in Latin and those of William the Conqueror, in Norman and Latin.
