Armoured reconnaissance Law and Legal Definition
Armoured reconnaissance is terrestrial reconnaissance by soldiers in armoured fighting vehicle. The mission of armoured reconnaissance is to gather intelligence about the enemy. Each combat brigade (BCT) (there are multiple combat support and combat service support Brigades that may or may not have such assets) in the Army has an organic recon squadron assigned to it. Heavy brigades each have an Armored Reconnaissance Squadron.
