Arranged marriage refers to marriage arranged by other people, usually the parents of the couple getting wedded, curtailing or avoiding the process of courtship. Such marriages were deep rooted in royal and aristocratic families around the world. An arranged marriage is totally different from that of a forced marriage. Such marriages are usually seen in Indian, traditional European and African cultures, especially among royalty.
