Artificial Day Law and Legal Definition
Originally, the solar day is termed the natural day, and the whole twenty-four hours, consisting of the solar day and the night succeeding it, is called the artificial day. But afterwards, and to the present time, the solar day was termed the artificial day, and the twenty-four hours, commencing from the rising of the sun on one day, and continued through the night succeeding, was styled the natural day. It is also termed as solar day, or dies solaris.
