Audiology Aide Law and Legal Definition
Audiology aide means a person who assists or facilitates an audiologist in evaluating the hearing of individuals or in treating individuals with hearing disorders. An audiology aide must be registered with the speech-language pathology and audiology and hearing aid dispensers board (board) and his/her registration must be approved by the board.
An Audiology aide should meet the minimum requirements established by the speech-language pathology and audiology and hearing aid dispensers board (board). An audiology aide performs functions under the supervision of an audiologist. The board shall however exempt certain functions performed by an industrial audiology aide from supervision of an audiologist by a regulation if his/her employer has established a set of procedures or protocols that the aide shall follow in performing their functions.
