Automated Export System (AES) is "the system, including AES Direct, for collecting Electronic export information (or any successor document) from persons exporting goods from the U.S., Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands; between Puerto Rico and the U.S.; and to the U.S. Virgin Islands from the U.S. or Puerto Rico."
