Average Monthly Civilian Income Law and Legal Definition
The term average monthly civilian income means income that is obtained by dividing the income earned by a member of the reserve component of armed forces for 12 months preceding the member's mobilization or the income earned by such member for 12 months covered by the member's most recent federal income tax filing, by 12 [37 USCS § 910 (e)(1)]. The average monthly civilian income is determined by the secretary concerned with the uniformed services.
