An aviation attorney or aviation lawyer is someone who represents a party effectively in litigation arising from an aviation disaster or aviation accident. An aviation attorney must be able to investigate highly technical issues relating to the design, manufacture and assembly of airplanes and helicopters, the relevant piloting and maintenance issues, airplane and helicopter aerodynamics and a variety of other issues relevant to the cause of an aviation disaster.
