Aviation Cadets Law and Legal Definition
An aviation cadet is a military or civilian occupational title that is held by a person who gets training to operate an airplane. A person is enlisted or designated as an aviation cadet only if s/he agrees after the completion of the course of training as an aviation cadet that s/he will accept a commission as an ensign in the Navy Reserve or a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps Reserve, and will serve on active duty as such for at least three years. Similarly, if a person is below 21 years of age, s/he must get consent from his/her parent or guardian. [10 USCS § 6911]
