Balfour Declaration Law and Legal Definition
Balfour declaration is a declaration or an official statement issued by British foreign secretary Arthur James Balfour in 1917 declaring that the British government favored "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people." The Declaration was approved by the British cabinet and later conveyed to the Zionist Federation.
