Bawdy house refers to a disorderly house or a brothel. Bawdy house means a dwelling house where individuals conduct criminal or immoral activities that are a nuisance to the neighborhood. Examples are house of prostitution, lewd house, house of assignation. A person who keeps a bawdy house will be punished since it violates the social interest in abiding the proper standards of morality and decency. Also, a disorderly house can include a place where disorderly persons are permitted to come together and who disturb the neighborhood by quarrelling or making any other type of disorder.
