Beneficiary Country Law and Legal Definition
According to 19 CFR 10.212 [Title 19 -- Customs Duties; Chapter I -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Department of Homeland Security; Department of the Treasury; Part 10 -- Articles Conditionally Free, Subject to a Reduced Rate, etc.], beneficiary country means “a country listed in section 107 of the African Growth and Opportunity Act which has been the subject of a finding by the President or his designee, published in the Federal Register, that the country has satisfied the requirements of section 113 of the African Growth and Opportunity Act and which the President has designated as a beneficiary sub-Saharan African country under section 506A of the Trade Act of 1974.”
