Berlin Act of 1908 is a revision of the Berne Convention prohibiting formalities as a requirement for copyright protection. It recommends a term of protection equal to the life of the author plus 50 years, and expands the types of works eligible for copyright protection. The Act included motion pictures within copyright protection for the first time.
