Biodiesel Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 490.702 [Title 10 Energy; Chapter II Department of Energy; Subchapter D Energy Conservation; Part 490 Alternative Fuel Transportation Program; Subpart H Biodiesel Fuel Use Credit], the term biodiesel means “a diesel fuel substitute produced from nonpetroleum renewable resources that meets the registration requirements for fuels and fuel additives established by the Environmental Protection Agency under section 211 of the Clean Air Act.”
