Biological Warfare Agent Classifications Law and Legal Definition
Biological warfare agent classifications mean a system whereby biological warfare agents are classified on the basis of their effects, taxonomy, mode of delivery, or clinical syndrome. On the basis of the effects, biological warfare agents can be classified into lethal agents producing death in all or most victims and incapacitating agents producing severe disease, but not death. On the basis of taxonomy biological warfare agent can be classified as aerosol, food- or waterborne, vector borne, or injection. Further, on the basis of clinical syndrome caused by biological agents, it cab be classified into pneumonia agents and systemic disease agents.
