Blame Law and Legal Definition
Blame is the opposite of praise. It is the act of criticizing, holding responsible, and making negative statements about a person or group that their action or actions are socially or morally irresponsible. When a person is morally responsible for doing an act and if s/he does not perform such act then s/he is blameworthy. For instance, it is a well established principle in law that ignorance of law is not an excuse, and if a person does any act that that is barred by law, then s/he is blameworthy.
