Blank Indorsement Law and Legal Definition
A blank indorsement is made on a negotiable instrument and it does not specify any particular indorsee. A blank indorsement is accomplished by merely writing the name of the indorser on the back of the instrument. A negotiable instrument shall be payable to bearer if it does not specify the name of the payee. In case an instrument is lost, any one who finds it can uphold a claim for payment.
