Boarder Baby Law and Legal Definition
The term ‘boarder baby’ is used to refer to an infant, usually under the age of 12 months, who remains in the hospital after the date of medical discharge. Boarder babies may eventually be claimed by their parents and/or be placed in alternative care.
Boarder baby can be an infant, often the offspring of drug addicts or AIDS victims, who is abandoned in a hospital.
