Bona Waviata Law and Legal Definition
Bona waviata is a Latin term which means “stolen goods thrown away in flight by a thief.” The thief usually throws away the stolen goods in the flight for the fear of apprehension. It refers to the goods reverted to the Crown as a penalty to the owner for failing to pursue the thief and recover the goods.
