Bounty Hunter Law and Legal Definition
A bounty hunter is a person hired to chase a person charged with or suspected of a crime. This practice of engaging person to capture fugitive is commonly used in the U.S. by bail-bond companies to find and arrest criminal defendants who breached the bond agreement by failing to appear in court as ordered. A bounty hunter is also known as bail-enforcement agent.
