Boxed Warning Law and Legal Definition
A boxed warning is defined as "an alert to medical practitioners about potentially serious adverse drug reactions, contraindications, or other special problems with a given drug, contained in a ruled box at a site specified within the label format by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)."
