Brachytherapy Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 35.2 [Title 10 – Energy; Chapter I -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Part 35 -- Medical Use of Byproduct Material; Subpart A -- General Information], the term Brachytherapy means “a method of radiation therapy in which sources are used to deliver a radiation dose at a distance of up to a few centimeters by surface, intracavitary, intraluminal, or interstitial application.”
