Brachytherapy Source Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 35.2 [Title 10 – Energy; Chapter I -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Part 35 -- Medical Use of Byproduct Material; Subpart A -- General Information], the term Brachytherapy Source means “a radioactive source or a manufacturer-assembled source train or a combination of these sources that is designed to deliver a therapeutic dose within a distance of a few centimeters.”
