Brady Bonds Law and Legal Definition
Brady bonds were dollar denominated bonds of developing countries backed by zero coupon U.S. Treasury securities. They were issued mostly by Latin American countries in the 1980s, in exchange for defaulted commercial bank loans. Brady bonds were named after U.S. Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady. It is no longer in use.
