Breakpoint [Mutual Funds] Law and Legal Definition
Breakpoint is the dollar amount at which the sales charge on a mutual fund declines to a lower percentage. At breakpoint, an investor becomes eligible for a discounted sales fee. This level may be achieved through a lump sum purchase or a series of smaller purchases.
