BSD License Law and Legal Definition
BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) license is a form of open-source license or free-software license. This allows users to incorporate the source code into proprietary products until the names of the original creator or contributors are not used to endorse or promote the products without permission. The licenses have fewer restrictions on distribution compared to other free software licenses. BSD license is also termed BSD-style license.
