Bugchasing Law and Legal Definition
Bugchasing is the practice of indulging in a sexual relationship with a HIV infected persons with an intention to contract the disease. It is a slang term used for the practice of having sex with HIV positive individuals in order to get infected with HIV. Bugchasers have unprotected sex with HIV positive people. The HIV positive sex partners of bugchasers are known as giftgivers.
Bugchasers are interested in contracting the disease for various reasons. Some try to become infected in order to enjoy the legal protection and benefits offered to HIV positive people.
