Business courts are courts that handle commercial litigation. In other words, business courts are a session of superior court that is devoted to complex business cases. These cases are presided over by a special judge designated. During the late 20 th century, business courts emerged in many states as a way to unclog the general dockets. These courts also intend to dispose of complex commercial cases more efficiently and consistently.
