Capital Expenses [Education] Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 20 USCS § 7279d [Title 20. Education; Chapter 70. Strengthening and Improvement of Elementary and Secondary Schools; Promoting Informed Parental Choice and Innovative Programs; Fund for the Improvement of Education; Grants for Capital Expenses of Providing Equitable Services for Private School Students], the term capital expenses means—
“(1) expenditures for noninstructional goods and services, such as the purchase, lease, or renovation of real and personal property, including mobile educational units and leasing of neutral sites or spaces; (2) insurance and maintenance costs; (3) transportation; and (4) other comparable goods and services.”
