Carte Blanche is a French word which means “blank card.” It can be a signed, blank instrument that is filled out at an agent's discretion. In other words, the signature of an individual or more, on a white paper, with a sufficient space left above it to write a note or other writing. It also means full discretionary power or unrestricted power to act at one's own discretion; unlimited or unconditional authority.
