Cats and Dogs Securities Law and Legal Definition
Cats and dogs securities are low priced stocks of no apparent value. In the final phases of a bull market, the market value and the theoretical value of most stocks are about equal. Investors see no potential for profit outside the speculative area and thus invest in cats and dogs in an attempt to squeeze additional profit from the market.
