Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion [CNPP] Law and Legal Definition
Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP) is an agency of USDA's Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services. CNPP was created within the U.S. Department of Agriculture on December 1, 1994. The mission of CNPP is to improve the health and well-being of Americans by developing and promoting dietary guidance that links scientific research to the nutrition needs of consumers. CNPP reports its activities to the Office of the Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services. CNPP strives to attain its mission through advancement and promotion of food and nutrition guidance for all Americans; assessment of diet quality; and advancement of consumer, nutrition, and food economic knowledge.
