Center for Policy Research in Education [CPRE] Law and Legal Definition
Center for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) was established in 1985 uniting researchers from the leading U.S. research institutions to improve elementary and secondary education through practical research. CPRE was established as an effort to improve student learning through research on education reform, policy, and finance. CPRE researchers conduct research on the effectiveness of federal, state, and local policies, with particular emphasis on accountability systems, school finance, teacher quality initiatives, assessment systems, and school governance.
