Certificate of Origin Law and Legal Definition
A Certificate of Origin is a document which states the country where the goods were actually manufactured. In certain cases, all the goods may not originate from one country. The raw materials and the processes may be from another country. In such cases, if more than 50 per cent of the goods originate from one country, that country is determined to be the country of origin. A certificate of origin is used in international trade.
