Certification Expiration Date Law and Legal Definition
A certification expiration date is the legally mandated date by which a certified proposed decision is due to be acted upon. The certification expiration date is the 30th calendar day after the certification date. If, however, the 30th day is a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the certification expiration date shall be the next business day. A proposed decision is adopted by Action of Law on the first business day after the certification expiration date if a Presiding Judge has not adopted the proposed decision, issued a Director’s alternate decision, or ordered a further hearing, on or prior to the certification expiration date.
