Challenge Law and Legal Definition
Challenge refers to a formal questioning of the legality of a person, act or thing. A question or a claim that a law is unconstitutional is a constitutional challenge. A challenge that an act or statute is unconstitutional on its face is a facial challenge. Challenge becomes a crime when one party calls upon or challenges another to fight and is usually liable to punishment. Such challenges are considered to destroy public peace.
