Chapter 13 Trustee Interim Statement Law and Legal Definition
The United States Trustee in each district will require the debtor in possession to furnish regular reports of post petition operations. Such reports allow the United States trustee and any creditor who may wish to examine the reports, to determine if improper payments are being made, if the debtor is paying its taxes as they become due, and whether the debtor is losing money during the case. These reports are often called interim statements. The interim statement is similar to a sources and uses of cash statement that some companies prepare in the ordinary course of their operations. The statement shows only actual cash, checks, or other cash equivalents that the debtor has received or has paid out during a particular period.
