Chastity Law and Legal Definition
Chastity is the quality or state of being chaste or pure. It can be by abstention from unlawful sexual intercourse or from all sexual intercourse; virginity or celibacy.
Solicitation of chastity refers to the act of trying to persuade another person to engage in unlawful sexual intercourse. A woman may defend her chastity by killing her assailant. Words charging a woman with a violation of chastity are actionable in themselves.
