Child Abduction Law and Legal Definition
Child abduction is the offense of abducting or kidnapping a child by an older person. There are two types of child abduction. They are: parental child abduction and abduction by strangers.
The International Child Abduction Remedies Act provides remedies in case of child abduction. Pursuant to 42 USCS § 1160, persons should not be permitted to obtain custody of children by virtue of their wrongful removal or retention.
